About the Role
The Head of Engineering (AI & SaaS) at Omind leads the end-to-end technology organization, driving the development of scalable, AI-powered customer experience (CX) products while building a strong engineering culture.
This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on technical direction, people management, & product delivery ownership. You will work closely with Product, Sales, & Customer Success teams to deliver secure, scalable, & high-performance SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the technology strategy for AI-powered SaaS products
- Build and scale engineering teams across AI/ML, backend, frontend, data engineering, and DevOps
- Establish a long-term architectural vision balancing innovation, scalability, and maintainability
- Evaluate emerging AI and SaaS technologies and drive adoption
AI & Machine Learning Excellence
- Lead development and deployment of AI/ML models, intelligent features, and automation workflows
- Ensure strong MLOps practices including model training, deployment, monitoring, and versioning
- Implement responsible AI practices including data governance, compliance (GDPR, SOC 2), and model fairness
- Integrate LLMs, GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics into SaaS platforms
SaaS Platform Engineering
- Own architecture, infrastructure, and reliability of multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and uptime aligned with SLAs/SLOs
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimize costs
- Guide teams in microservices architecture, API development, and distributed system
Engineering Operations & Delivery
- Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD, code quality, and test automation
- Drive Agile methodologies for predictable and efficient delivery
- Track engineering KPIs such as velocity, uptime, deployment frequency, and model performance
- Oversee release management, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management to define roadmaps and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Collaborate with Data, Design, and Customer Success teams to deliver impactful features
- Communicate engineering vision and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders
Team Building & Management
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across functions
- Establish a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
- Define goals, KRAs, and performance standards
Product Development & Delivery
- Own end-to-end product delivery lifecycle
- Ensure high code quality, timely releases, and scalable system architecture
- Collaborate with Product Managers on prioritization, sprint planning, and release cycles
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience building and scaling SaaS platforms and AI/ML-powered products
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs)
- Deep understanding of SaaS architecture, multi-tenancy, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps/DevOps tools
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, ETL pipelines, and data governance
Leadership & Competencies
- Strategic thinking with strong execution and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience scaling teams in high-growth SaaS environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building AI-driven SaaS products (LLMs, automation tools, recommendation engines)
- Background in startup environments or scaling engineering teams (0→1 or 1→100)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR
- Experience with generative AI and LLM fine-tuning
Preferred Experience In
- Customer Experience (CX) platforms / BPO technology
- Conversational AI and chatbot platforms
- CRM integrations (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)
